Job Title: F-16 Production Flightline APG Mechanic
Work Location: Greenville, NC
Duration: Contract to Hire
Education/Experience Required: Candidates should have 6+ years experience OR have platform specific experience with F-16, F-18, F-22, or F-35.
Job Description & Responsibilities :
F-16 Production Flightline APG Mechanic- This position will be part of the client Greenville Support Operations (GSO) Aircraft Maintenance Team, supporting New Production Delivery of the F-16 at Greenville, South Carolina. Responsible for incoming and outgoing flight operations, follow on maintenance and routine trouble shooting. Mechanic will perform/assist with all launch, recovery, preflight/thru flight/Basic Post Flight inspections, ground handling, maintenance, engine runs, operational checkouts, and servicing. Perform routine troubleshooting, installation, repair and maintenance of all electro-mechanical and Pnuedralic systems and components on the aircraft. Responsible for the acceptableness of all electrical, hydraulic-pneumatic, propulsion, landing gear, flight control surfaces and periodic inspections, general airframe condition, aircraft furnishings and crew escape system of the aircraft. Will be required to remove panels and associated hardware to obtain access equipment requiring repair.
The Production Flightline APG, F-16 Technician Level 3 will also need to be knowledgeable in aircraft systems operation and maintenance to include:
Landing gear
Powerplants
Flight controls
Fueling/Defueling
Aircraft movement/Launch & Recovery
Skills & Qualifications :
Aircraft Flightline Experience is Preferred
Clearance at minimum must be in process at time of start
Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift as assigned after training
1st Shift - Mon. thru Thurs.; 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
2nd Shift - Mon. thru Thurs.; 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM
6+ Years of recent aircraft experience (fighter preferred but not required). Manger will consider candidates with 4 years if they have relevant fighter jet experience
Aircraft Flightline Experience is highly preferred. preference will be given to candidates with flightline experience
