Job Title: Accounting Manager
Rate/Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year + Annual Bonus

Job Summary:
As the Accounting Manager, you will step into a leadership role overseeing the financial health of a major operational site. You will be at the helm of a talented team, driving strategic financial reporting and implementing internal controls in a high-stakes environment. This position offers the chance to manage a diverse portfolio including fixed assets, cost reporting, and budgeting.


Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Leading a dedicated accounting and finance team, including hiring, mentoring, and evaluating staff to ensure peak departmental performance.
• Managing comprehensive financial functions such as budgeting, payroll, A/P, A/R, and fixed asset management to maintain fiscal integrity.
• Directing the preparation of financial statements and P&L reports while ensuring 100% compliance with GAAP and federal regulations.
• Collaborating with site leadership on tactical planning, providing variance analysis and forecasting to guide business decisions.
• Overseeing internal and external audits and managing high-level vendor contracts for specialized accounting services.

Here’s what our ideal candidate has:

• At least 3 years of proven management experience within an accounting or finance department.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 7+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Previous experience working within a mining, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP standards and advanced skills in relational databases and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to compile historical data for deep-dive financial analysis and long-term program development.
